As part of our social entrepreneurship project and course deliverable, Team Shajar-e-Umeed conducted a highly interactive session with Seasoned Veterans on 14th March at Fast NU. It was great to see some of the best experts from our industry, Mr. Salim Ghauri of Netsol, Mr. Zain ul Abideen of Maro Tandoors and Mr. Umer Hussain of SweetTooth in action. Sharing of great ideas and good lively discussion made this event a huge hit with all departments of FAST-NU who participated with lots of energy. It was a motivational and inspirational interactive session, filled with stories of successes, failures, and lessons learned for our aspiring entrepreneurs. The very definition of success, happiness, entrepreneurship, and leadership was discussed by the speakers with avid participation by the attendants. Also, tenacity despite failure was identified as the differentiating trait between successful and sustainable entrepreneurial ideas. The crowd was lively in asking questions to enhance their knowledge of the practical dilemmas faced in the industry and also regarding the moral values and principles that add further value to one's success. In the end, valuable ideas were shared to enhance cross-group collaboration between Netsol, Sweet tooth Maro Tandoor and FAST-NU for future endeavors. The team duly appreciates the time and effort of our honorable speakers. Their experience is one of many resources that young entrepreneurs should capitalize on.
