The Department of Electrical Engineering at FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus organized a workshop titled “What Is Engineering Design, How It Relates to FYPs, and How I Used to Teach It” on October 27, 2026. The session, led by Prof. Dr. Anjum Ali, was attended by faculty members and Batch 2023 students. Drawing on his academic and professional experience, Prof. Dr. Anjum Ali explored the importance of engineering design and its application to Final Year Projects (FYPs). The session covered the Engineering Design Process (EDP), its historical perspectives, practical case studies, and assessment methods, highlighting the value of structured design approaches in engineering education. The seminar concluded with Dr. Omer Saleem presenting a commemorative shield to Prof. Dr. Anjum Ali in appreciation of his knowledge and valuable contribution.
