Industrial Visit to Sapphire Fibers Ltd

At FAST School of Management (FSM), FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus, we connect academic learning with real world sustainable industrial practices. As part of the course “Environmental Science and Sustainability for Business,” our BS Business Analytics students visited Sapphire Fibres Limited (Denim Division)—a leading sustainability-focused name in Pakistan’s textile industry. The session began with an introductory presentation by Hassan Sajjad (Deputy Manager, Sustainability), followed by a guided tour of the facility. Students explored the full manufacturing journey—from thread to denim fabric—and observed how sustainable HSE and environmental practices are integrated at every stage. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Shaheer Munawar (Group Head, Compliance and Sustainability), Mr. Hassan Sajjad, and the entire Sustainability, HSE, and Compliance team at Sapphire for hosting our students, sharing their expertise, and supporting our commitment to experiential learning. Prof. Dr. Hamid Hassan, Head of School, FSM, has strengthened FSM’s experiential learning through his unwavering support and commitment to academic excellence, while course instructor Shahpara Hanif’s dedication shaped this learning experience and brought valuable professional insights to our students.
