We are proud to highlight the remarkable international learning experience of Syed Asjad Raza Shirazi (24L-0583), a BS Computer Science student at FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus, during his visit to Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). During his 4th semester, Asjad explored Generative AI, discovering tools for creating videos, music, and 3D models under the guidance of Dr. Faiq, along with an introduction to the metaverse. His hands-on learning continued with IoT and Arduino under Dr. Ezzam, where he successfully built a working ambulance siren with flashing lights—turning technical knowledge into practical experience. Beyond the labs, he embraced Malaysian culture through a homestay, cultural activities, rubber tapping, wax painting, coconut-leaf crafts, Malaysian kabaddi, and meaningful connections with the UTeM community. This experience reflects the power of international mobility to help our students learn beyond classrooms, explore emerging technologies, embrace new cultures, and build global connections. We commend Syed Asjad Raza Shirazi for making the most of this opportunity and representing FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning.
