Seminar on Engineering Management & Entrepreneurship

The Department of Electrical Engineering, FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus, organized a seminar for students and faculty on September 8, 2025, under the leadership of Dr. S. M. Sajid. The session focused on Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship, exploring how engineers can step into the world of innovation and leadership.
The seminar featured two distinguished speakers: Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Rector of GIFT University, Gujranwala, and former Head of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development at IBA Karachi, with vast contributions in entrepreneurship education; and Dr. Umair Shah, Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo, Canada, whose research spans management, stakeholder theory, and technology ethics.Dr. Shahid Qureshi motivated students to think bigger, emphasizing entrepreneurship education and turning ideas into successful ventures. Dr. Umair Shah inspired the audience with insights on management, technology ethics, and how engineers can grow into impactful leaders. The seminar left students energized, motivated, and ready to take bold steps toward becoming future innovators.
