The International Conference on "Advances in Civil and Construction Engineering" was recently organized which was a two days' event, jointly held by NUCES-FAST Lahore and UMT Lahore. Civil Engineering department in collaboration with ICE-NUCES and ASCE-NUCES arranged and managed the day two of the conference at NUCES-FAST Lahore campus. This was one of a kind conference and probably the biggest technical event towards the end of the year in South Asia, in the context of advances in civil and construction engineering. The conference was aimed at providing researchers from different parts of the country and the world, a unique platform for the exchange of technical expertise. Numerous speakers from different parts of the world attended in numbers to present their valuable research and expert knowledge. This conference was the brainchild of our esteemed professor, Dr. Syed Ali Rizwan who was the conference chairman. His exceptional leadership, sheer commitment and unwavering dedication proved instrumental in bringing together like and brilliant minds under one roof for a technical event of such magnitude. The honorable Rector FAST-NU, Dr. Aftab Ahmad Maroof and the honorable Director NUCES-FAST Lahore campus were among those present. Chairman WAPDA, Lt. General (retd.) Sajjad Ghani graced the occasion as the guest of honour and addressed the audience. Faculty and aspiring engineers attended in numbers to make the session an interactive one. The conference was a major success and marked a historic moment which will surely serve to further enhance the reputation of the Civil Engineering department at NUCES-FAST Lahore.
