The Graduating batch, Team Shajar-e- Umeed organized another great session at FSM with the help of SMEDA, a seminar on "Entrepreneurship as a Viable Career Option" as part of their social entrepreneurship project and course deliverable. It was another learning experience on how to practically implement new ideas and to do actionable interventions in today’s business environment. Areas covered in this discussion were: • Understanding the importance and concepts of entrepreneurship • Learn the real-time steps involved in starting a small business • Apply the framework and tools for successfully managing a small business. The esteemed guest, Zubair Anwar a senior business and management professional, with more than 21 years of experience in leading and providing business technology solutions honored us with his presence. Mr. Anwar, in collaboration with SMEDA, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and how it creates economic opportunities. Furthermore, areas, such as how to obtain business finance, its legalities and SMEDA’S role in helping startup were discussed in detail. Students in a lively interactive Q&A session asked searching questions about their own going ventures.
