Department of Electrical Engineering Conducts 1.0 CPD Point Workshop titled "OBE Essentials: FLEX Computation and Closing the OBE Cycle using CQI"

On September 18, 2026, the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), FAST-NUCES Lahore Campus, organised a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshop titled "OBE Essentials: FLEX Computation and Closing the OBE Cycle using CQI," carrying 1.0 CPD point under PEC License No. PEB-P-NUCESL-0022. The session was conducted by Dr. Omer Saleem (Associate Professor and HoD, EE Department) and was attended by faculty members of the department.
The workshop covered the core philosophy of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and its implementation framework at the campus, including the hierarchical relationship between PEOs, PLOs, and CLOs, as well as the accurate configuration and computation of direct assessment data using the Flex LMS interface. Participants also explored the analysis of CLO and PLO attainment levels for engineering cohorts and learned how to close the OBE cycle by documenting and integrating Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) loops into subsequent course iterations. The session equipped faculty with practical skills to strengthen outcome-based assessment and continuous improvement practices within the department.
