Sept. 14, 2026
On September 14, 2026, the Department of Electrical Engineering organised an industrial tour to Pakistan Electric Limited (PEL) for students of the Electrical Engineering program from Batches 2023 and 2024. The industrial tour gave students practical exposure to real-world engineering and manufacturing processes and aligned with the Program Learning Outcome (PLO) of "Lifelong Learning" by allowing them to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom through first hand exposure to industrial practices and interaction with industry professionals. During the visit, students visited PEL’s manufacturing facility and received an insightful briefing on the transformer manufacturing process, covering various production stages, including coil preparation and winding, assembly of components and units, and other key processes. This gave them an insight at how concepts learned in their coursework are applied in an industrial setting. The PEL team warmly welcomed the students and provided detailed explanations throughout the visit, actively engaging with their questions to deepen their understanding of transformer manufacturing and industrial practices. The visit was an informative and valuable learning experience that helped students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial application.
