A Final Year Project titled GyroBike: Attitude Control & Gyroscopic Stabilization of a Self-Balancing Bicycle from the Electrical Engineering Department secured 3rd place at the FYP Competition held during Job Fair 2026, held on April 28, 2026.
The project was carried out by EE students Arshaq Waseem (22L-7697), Muhammad Moiz (22L-7699), and Soban Gull (22L-6219). It involved the development of an experimental self-balancing robotic bicycle utilizing a high-inertia flywheel along with an adaptive control algorithm to achieve real-time balance. The students demonstrated strong capabilities in embedded systems design and control algorithm development throughout the project.
This achievement reflects the students’ dedication, innovation, and technical competence. Their work received positive recognition during the event, with strong engagement from visitors and appreciation from the evaluation panel. The accomplishment also contributed positively to the department’s academic and professional standing.
