The Department of Electrical Engineering proudly congratulates a Final Year Project (FYP) team on achieving Runner-Up (2nd Position) in the Engineering Project Competition at SOFTEC 2025, held on April 25-26, 2025, at FAST National University, Lahore.
The project, titled "An IoT-enabled Automated Monitoring System for Intensive Aquaculture" presents a novel solution aimed at promoting sustainability in aquaculture through technology-driven innovation. The system integrates a buoyant sensor platform with IoT-based real-time monitoring capabilities and facilitates remote data access via a web-based application, ensuring efficient management of water quality parameters critical to aquaculture environments. This project was supervised by Dr. Omer Saleem, Associate Professor, and developed by Mr. Ahmad Sheraz (21L-5720), Mr. Irteza Arslan (21L-5742), and Ms. Hamd Mobashar (21L-5702). Their outstanding performance at one of Pakistan’s most prestigious student technology competitions reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, research-driven learning, and real-world innovation.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the team for this commendable achievement and for representing the department with distinction on a national platform.
