Unboxing Forensic Artifacts: A Hands-On Digital Forensics Workshop at FAST NUCES

The Department of Electrical Engineering at FAST NUCES Lahore organized a hands-on workshop, “Unboxing Forensics Artifacts” for Final Year Project (FYP) students on March 6, 2025. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Saqib Shabir, an information security expert and instructor from University of Prince Mugrin, Saudi Arabia. The session provided in-depth insights into digital forensics, focusing on system activity footprints and forensic artifact analysis. Students engaged in practical exercises using the TryHackMe Lab, applying forensic investigation techniques with essential tools and datasets. This workshop enhanced students’ cybersecurity and forensic analysis skills, emphasizing the significance of digital forensics in modern technology. The department remains dedicated to hands-on learning, equipping students for industry challenges.
