The Department of Electrical Engineering, Lahore Campus, organized a CPD workshop (0.5 credits) titled “Light Duty EV Proliferation – Ramifications for Pakistan” on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Old Auditorium, FAST NUCES, Lahore. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Horizon Gitano, CTO of Focus Applied Technologies, Malaysia, and focused on the adoption of 2- and 3-wheeled electric vehicles in Pakistan. Key findings from the study were presented, highlighting infrastructure challenges, policy considerations, and the socioeconomic impacts of EV adoption. At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Saima Zafar (HoD EE) presented a shield to Dr. Horizon Gitano in appreciation of his valuable insights.
