Khalid Ijaz is a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at FAST-NUCES, Lahore, where he has been serving since February 2025. He has been actively involved in academia since 2013.
Before joining FAST-NUCES, he worked at UMT, Lahore, first as a Lab Engineer from April 2013 to May 2018, and later as a Lecturer from August 2018 to January 2025. Prior to his academic career, he gained five years of industry experience in the telecommunications sector, working with PTCL and WorldCall, Pakistan. His expertise includes mobile switching centers (MSC) and CDMA technology, with extensive hands-on experience in these domains.
Research Interests
His research focuses on the application of advanced computational techniques, including:
• Computer Vision for real-time applications.
• Machine Learning algorithms for time-series data analysis.
• Deep Learning for time-series and imaging data.
• Reinforcement Learning for decision-making systems.
In addition to his research, he actively contributes as a peer reviewer for various IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer journals and conferences.
