Nosheen Akram Ali

Nosheen Akram Ali graduated from FAST-NU Lahore in 2003 with a BS in Computer Science. During her time at FAST, she was awarded a full scholarship by the Ministry of Science & Technology after securing first position in their nationwide test. Her final year project, Project Rhapsody: Intelligent Music Composition through Human Speech Input was the product of several years of research in the field of Artificial Creativity. Her hard work earned her awards at several national competitions, including the Best Overall Software award in the 14th Annual Dr. AQ Khan All Pakistan Software Competition. Nosheen worked as an algorithm optimization specialist for two years before joining the LUMS MBA program. During her time there, she co-founded a company specializing in software quality assurance outsourcing. Message from the Director

The sponsoring body of National University of Computer & Emerging Science “FAST (Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology)” established in 1980. It is a charitable institution which is registered with the Government of Pakistan. This university, sponsored by FAST, is considered as one of the most prestigious academic institutes of Pakistan with a trend of being a leader and a paragon both in Pakistan and abroad. The purpose behind the initiation was to provide higher education to produce best scholars and scientists in 1985. 
FAST was the first in the history of the country to offer undergraduate program in Computer Science, this was a real milestone in the country’s IT industry development. The National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, which was founded as a Federally Chartered University, is a top-ranked and nonpareil University of Pakistan. It is popular for producing students who are well-known for their expertise and hard work in the development of local software and other industries. Moreover, the university has five innovative purpose-built campuses at  Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Chiniot Faisalabad (CFD) and Peshawar with the state-of-the-art facilities. These campuses provide high-standard educational environment and recreational facilities to over 4,000 under-graduate and graduate students.
The university has research wings that contribute towards the economic, social and technological advances of Pakistan through its comprehensive research. It is sufficed to say, that FAST-NU is making headway to become a globally recognized research university of Pakistan.
