SOFTEC, hosted its orientation on 18th of November, 2021.The ceremony began with the audience standing up for the national anthem of Pakistan and Recitation of Holy Qur’an. After that, Dr. Kashif Zafar came on stage to enlighten the audience about what one’s goals and aspirations should be for them to become a successful person. He was quoted saying “success is not related to just one parameter, success is everything”. Moving on, advisor SOFTEC Dr. Saira Karim came to the podium to reminisce about the history of SOFTEC and what this competition means for FAST. She congratulated the SOFTEC management for creating this proud and successful history of more than 2 decades of  annual extravaganzas. Furthermore, President FAANA and SOFTEC mentor Mr. Rafael Akbar Chaudhary came on stage and reminisced about the good old days when he was the president of SOFTEC ‘08. He lightened the mood of the audience by asking the audience a few cheeky questions such as what SOFTEC stood for (Software Exhibition COmpetition). He further lauded the current executive body of SOFTEC for filling in the large shoes left behind by the predecessors. To close off these speeches, president SOFTEC ‘22 Mr Usman Siddique congratulated his team members and appreciated the guidance of his mentors for making this event a possibility, despite the sour taste pandemic hit SOFTEC ‘21 left in everyone’s mouth.
