Women and Freelancing by Syeda Mehak

Career Counselling Society arranged a webinar session on 1 October, 2021 to talk about the importance of freelancing for women. The webinar witnessed the presence of a pioneer entrepreneur, the Co-founder of Elle Tech and an alumnus of FAST, Miss Syeda Mehak.The webinar started on the scheduled time, 10:00 am and thus, went according to the proposed time. The idea was to introduce the female students to freelancing and guide the ones looking to pursue it as a viable career prospect.About 50 people attended the online session and the event was hosted by Bisma Ashar (20L-1386) from CCS. The event comprised not only of professional advice but also catered to the following ideas:
The mindset of successful women, the attitude towards patriarchy, reverence for social norms, the importance of women in workforce, the event was altogether a success, and thus aligned towards bridging the gap between industry and academia.
