Program Overview

The mission of the BS (Robotics) is to develop an interdisciplinary program that delivers profound understanding of robotic system design by incorporating the relevant aspects of mathematics, mechanics, electronics, and computer science.

Disseminate quality robotics education to enable our graduates to create cost-effective automated work environment that safely integrates the humans and robots for the industries.

Develop state of the art curriculum that emphasizes practical applications and provides hands-on experience.

Career Opportunities

The BS (Robotics) degree program is designed to create human resources for the local and global job market. The graduates can work in a wide number of engineering firms as programmers, system design engineers, product testing and; maintenance engineers, automation field specialists, and application engineers. With higher studies, they can also pursue a stable career in academia, research and; development, project management, and can even start their entrepreneurial ventures.

 

Eligibility

  • At least 60% marks in SSC (Matric) or an equivalent examination (such as O-levels) AND
  • At least 50% marks in HSSC or an equivalent qualification.
  • Must have passed Mathematics at the HSSC level.
  • Those who have taken the HSSC or an equivalent examination and are awaiting result can also apply.

Selection Criteria

Admission on the basis of NTS-NAT

  • Selection is based on marks obtained in NTS NAT IE or NTS-ICS
  • Cut-off marks to be determined by the University

Admission on the basis of SAT

  • Combined score of 1,000 or more in SAT-I AND
  • At least 550 in SAT-II (Math Level IIC)

Admission on the basis of NU Admission Test

  • Merit List is prepared by assigning the following weights
  • 50% weight to Intermediate (Part-I) marks AND 50% weight to the score in NU Admission Test.
  • In case, Intermediate result is not available, Matriculation marks are used and multiplied by a factor of 0.9 (to equate it to average Inter percentage marks)
  • Candidates having passed O-level exam, and then followed the HSSC route
  • 50% weight to IBCC equivalent score x 1.1 AND 50% weight to marks obtained in HSSC-I Exams
  • Candidates having passed O-level exam, and then followed the A-level route
  • 100% weight to IBCC equivalent marks (for O-level) x 1.1

 

Degree Requirements

For the award of BS (Internet of Things) degree, a student must have:

  • Passed courses totalling at least 136 credit hours, including all those courses which have been specified as Core courses.
  • Obtained a CGPA of at least 2.00
