Nosheen Akram Ali graduated from FAST-NU Lahore in 2003 with a BS in Computer Science. During her time at FAST, she was awarded a full scholarship by the Ministry of Science & Technology after securing first position in their nationwide test. Her final year project, Project Rhapsody: Intelligent Music Composition through Human Speech Input was the product of several years of research in the field of Artificial Creativity. Her hard work earned her awards at several national competitions, including the Best Overall Software award in the 14th Annual Dr. AQ Khan All Pakistan Software Competition. Nosheen worked as an algorithm optimization specialist for two years before joining the LUMS MBA program. During her time there, she co-founded a company specializing in software quality assurance outsourcing. As the only international competitor invited to present, she was a finalist in the Jungle Business Plan competition held in Silicon Valley, beating teams from MIT, Yale, and many other top universities. After graduating from LUMS, Nosheen moved to the United States and worked as a Management Consultant for companies such as Broadcom and FOX Interactive Media. She joined DIRECTV as a Marketing Operations Manager for a few years before moving to New York as an entrepreneur, launching her startup, SpotlessCity. SpotlessCity was a finalist in the TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield, was promoted by Microsoft as a featured startup, and also highlighted in New York Magazine. After a foray in big data, analyzing television viewership with market research giant Kantar Media, Nosheen has settled in New Jersey and is currently working as a Senior Manager at the Chubb Insurance Group. She has also founded Iftah Productions, a local organization focused on facilitating conversations and connections on matters most important to the American Muslim community.
